Have a Pamper Night

Heeeeelloooooo

Today's blog post shall be out pampering yourself.

There's nothing more that I love to do than having a chilled out night either on my own or with my best friend. Sometimes it's very much needed after a long day at work or just on the weekends. As I write this I am lay on my boyfriends bed with a bag of choccies, whilst Justin Biebers new album flows through my ears. It's a good life.

I've always loved spoiling myself with a little tlc and having a little bit of down time for yourself. I feel that the best way to do this is to schedule some things to do during your 'pamper' time. Whether this be having painting your hails or blow drying your hair. Just write them down and from this you also gather the feeling of success when you tick each thing off.

The first thing that I think is essential is removing my makeup and running a bath with my favourite bath bomb. This is currently Shooting for the Stars from Lush. 'Stay very still to watch the swirling colours of the night sky dazzle in your bath water. As the calming blanket of shimmering midnight blue unfolds, Brazilian orange and bergamot oils take your skin to heaven and your mood rocketing up to the Stars'. I feel the websites pretty accurate with the description. It's just incredible. I shall be posting a 'Lush Favourites' blog soon.

There are certain things that you want to do when you get out of the bath. So get the moisturisers at the ready ladies! I'm not going to pretend that I moisturise every time I get out of the bath or shower. Let's face it I'm lazy and I praise those women who can do this every time! You are the superwoman! I really like the Dove Summer Glow Moistuser as its so soothing but also gives you a little top up of tan which I really need being a paley.

Let's face it who doesn't like their snacks. some people go for the savoury option but I like the sweet things in life. My favourite snacks at the moment are Bitsa Wispa, Malteasers or popcorn. I can demolish a bag of Malteasers in minutes and carry no shame about that.

I'd love to hear what you all love to do when having a pamper session :)

How to stay Motivated

Heeellloooo

At work I recently had a talk given by a colleague about motivation as it is slightly lacking in the office, and it got me thinking. What actually motivates me, and how do I stay motivated?

As with most people, money is something that motivates me. If I know that by doing something I will be able to get myself that high-end lippy I've been lusting over then I am more likely to do it.

Knowing that I can succeed something that is very important to me. Realising that what I am doing will or could be achieved is motivation in itself and gives something for me to aspire towards in life.

I have complied a list of things that help me to motivate myself in life:

1. Making lists

I love lists. With absolutely anything possible I can write a list for, I will. It gives me sense of organization and a good feeling when I can tick or cross something off that I have completed. A prime example of my love for list making is on my blog. I'm pretty sure the majority of my blogs contain lists. It's something for people to get creative with and use to their advantage. Happy Checking :)

2. Setting myself targets

This is a great one as it gives you sense of ownership when you complete the target that you have set for yourself. It could be anything from when you will complete an assignment for or how much you are going to save I the next month. When I am at work I set myself both targets and list for each day and love ticking them off throughout the day. Sometimes it can show you that you have more work than you think you have which is always a bonus.

3. Find Inspiration

Inspiration for me comes from people who have achieved similar things that I wish to complete. Your inspiration could be anyone, from your best friend to your boss or a celebrity. Mine is currently my Dad. He works for everything he has and does things that he doesn't always want to, but he shuts up and gets on with them anyway. This is a great attitude to have as it proves you can do anything you put your mind to.

4 Get Help

People tend to stray away from this. but sometimes its the best thing. Everyone needs help at some point in their life and sometimes the hardest part is asking for it. I am someone who likes to think that I can do everything on my own. That is defiantly not the case. Ask your family, friend's or go online for some. There will always be someone willing to help you.

5. Stick with it!

Easier said than done I know! But sticking at things makes them seem more worth it in some respects. If you give up on something then there will always be the feeling that you didn't complete something you set yourself to do, and that can be a disincentive.

I hope that these helped the unmotivated of us out there. Head high.

My 5 Top films

Heeellloooo

For those of you who know me will know that I am a massive lover of RomComs and Disney Films . The prospect of having that 'perfect love' that doesn't really exist entices me in and no doubt does with other people.

I have had a think about the ones that I really love and have complied a list of my favourites for you to have a look at. I have included the links to each of these if you wish to buy them.

1.  The Vow - Top reason why I love this film.... Channing Tatum.  What more does any girl want than a scene of him holding a cat topless in an alley with a pizza in his hand. Sexy yet mysterious.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Vow-DVD-Rachel-McAdams/dp/B00DXJNNJK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1448371180&sr=8-1&keywords=the+vow

2. Beauty and the Beast - I realise I am 19 now and yes I do love Disney films and I'm not afraid to say it. This film has taught me that no matter what happens in life that you can always prevail and if someone loves you enough then you can make things work regardless or everything else. And on the bonus side, the songs are great to sing-a-long too.

3. Lion King - Okay if you say you don't love this film then you are lying and don't even try and hide it. This films makes me laugh and cry all at the same time and I love it! Definitely a must watch!
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lion-King-DVD-Roger-Allers/dp/B00M0GLM36/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1448371238&sr=8-1&keywords=lion+king

4. Mean Girls - The majority of girls my age should know what this film is and if you don't you need to reassess your life! I am sad enough to be able to say that I can quote most of this film word for word and there's quite a few of us out there who can! It's one of those feel good girly films that you can curl up with your girlfriends, grab some savvy snack and enjoy.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/MEAN-GIRLS-Lacey-Chabert/dp/B00FYOT3PA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1448371248&sr=8-1&keywords=mean+girls

5. Angus Thongs and Perfect Snogging - This is the film that I always used to watch and turn off whenever my parents walked in the room because they mention the word 'boobs' several times. Now that I'm older, not so fussed about this. My mom would probably love this film now that I don't find things like that so awkward. Definitely recommend this one.

I would advise you to watch or rewatch all of these films - its guaranteed film fest!

My 2016 Bucket List

heeeelllooooo

I am one of those people who enjoys making list and planning out what I am going to do with my life. so here are some of the things that I hope and want to achieve in 2016.

  • Move Out - This is something that has been on my mind for a few months now and is something that I am really looking forward. The thought of going independent and fleeing from my home is exciting but also a little scary.
  • Travelling - in 2016 I would really like to go to America, preferably New York or Los Angles. Aaron and I have got a week in Rome booked for Valentines Day so I am very excited for this, but there are of course more places that I would love to visit this year.
  • Get a pet - some people may know that I am lover of Tarantulas. My mom isn't too fond of me having one and neither is my other half but never the less I really would like one. I would give a really cool name, something like Dr. Luther or something.
  • Sky Diving - whether it be for charity or just for my personal target, I would love to go Sky Diving. It is something that I have always wanted to do as it seems exciting and I love adrenalin.
Just a short post today, but there are the things that I would love to achieve in the year 2016.

Things I Will Never Do Again!

heeellloooooo

In my life, as with other peoples there are things that I wish I hadn't have done. I have learnt from this and will make sure that I never do it again.

The first thing is taking anonymous shots at clubs. this is something that I have done rather recently in a club in York. The shot was colour red so we assumed it was cheery or something, but no. this was a xxx chilli shot. I have never regretted drinking something so much in my life! Lesson to myself is not to have something unless you know exactly what flavor it is.

My Favourite Apps

Hellooooooo

So today's post is going to be about something that most people can relate to and that is apps. These are something that people use everyday to check social media or to play a game. Today I shall be talking about some of my favourites at the moment. I'm a very organised person so I put my apps into the relevant folder.

So here are my favourite apps at the moment:

1. Dragon City. This is a game where you breed feed and train dragon to go to duels and play against people all over the world. It is so addictive and if you like arcade games then get this you won't be able to stop playing it.

2. 8tracks. This is a music playlist app where you can creat your own or listen to other people's playlist. All you need to do is type I a few key words and then the app brings up several playlist that relate to you key words. It's so great when your not sure what artist you want to listen to but you want to listen to a certain mood. Feel free to check out my playlists, just search Jessica.jones.2501.

3. Netflix. Who doesn't love Netflix. I have it on my telly downstairs, my iPad and my iPhone and seriously love it! It lets me stream a big selection of films for a pretty love price per month!

4. All 4. I'm currently getting back into Made In Chelsea which is all stored on All4. It shows you which episode you most recently watched so you can keep track of where you are, which is very useful if your forgetful like I am.

5. Snapchat. I am such a nosey person so this is great for. They have recently introduced new filters and they are the strangest things ever but awesome at the same time. Also I love pulling stupid faces ta my friends :)

6. Sleep Time. I love my sleep and this app helps me love it even more. You can set a time when you want to wake up and it detects how deep your sleeps are throughout the night and wakes you up in the slights time around the alarm that you have set. It stops ,e from up in a bad mood or still being tired when I wake up because I can see how much sleep I will get each night. It also tracks how much sleep you get over s period of time which you can then sit and analyse later on and figure out a way to get more sleep.

7. AroundMe.  This is a location app and shows you what is around the area you are in. It's great when you go away for the weekend and don't know the area. It has things like cinemas, coffee bars, banks, parking, pubs and resturants. It's just such a useful app.

8. Manage Christmas. Seen as it's coming up to Christmas and I really like to be organised, I looked for a Christmas shopping app. This was the best one I found. It lets you create lists for people and allows you to say how much each gift is worth, set a budget for each person and state whether the gift is wrapped, brought, not brought or given. It makes me so happy that I can be this organised this year. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! :)

So there they are guys,  Thanks for reading,

Driving Experiences

Hellloooooooo

Back in April I failed my driving test. This was the first one that I had taken and I was utterly gutted for myself. There was nothing more I wanted than to be able to drive a car.

On the 30th July this year I passed and it was the best day of my life. The realisation that I now had complete freedom was right there waiting for me to grab it with both hands and run – pardon me, drive!

I had my friend who has also recently passed their test to help me write this blog, so thank you friend

But in the past 4 months, there are a few things that I have learnt about driving since passing my test.

1.      Driving instructors teach you how to pass the test not how to drive! This shocked me so much. But it’s true. When you are with your instructor they are there to help you if you get into a bad situation and to tell you what to do. When you pass they aren’t there anymore and everything you do is on your own. At first this is scary but you soon get the hang of it.

2.      All cars are different to drive. Even cars of the same make and model are different to drive! The car I learnt to drive in was a Fiesta 09 plate. I then went on to a Peugeot 206 02 plate and this was so different. I only drove this car for a few days until I got my car which is a Clio 06 plate and again this is so different. So when you pass your test not only do you need to learn to drive on your own but you also need to learn how each car drives and that they are very different. The bite of the clutch is the thing that I have found to vary the most alongside the harshness of the brakes.

3.      Road Rage is a real thing! Mine isn’t as bad as other peoples but I do get it. People who don’t indicate is one of the things that gets the most and not saying thank you when you let someone go past! It’s just common manners people!

4.      How the use your cars parts. I don’t know about anyone else, but I never had a driving lesson in the dark. So when it came to my first time driving in the car I had no idea what I was doing. It was my dad who taught me how to use my headlights, and I had no idea how to put main beam on or take it off so I’m pretty sure other drivers hatred me.

5.      Expect the unexpected. Other drivers will just expect you to move for them. If you think someone is going to pull out on you, expect them to. That way you can be prepared for anything that happens!

6.      You need eyes everywhere! Not everyone uses their mirrors like they should so before you do anything, look all around you. People will just pull out regardless.

7.      If you make a decision, stick by it! If you decide to pull off a roundabout and you see that there is someone coming don’t go and stop halfway in the roundabout. Go or don’t go. Because otherwise you’ll be the fool in the middle and no one likes the fool.

8.      Trust your own decisions. I don’t really need to say any more than that.

So there are some things that I have learnt whilst I have passed my driving test. You don’t need to take them all on board they are just experiences.

Hope this doesn’t scare you from driving because it’s so great

'Life Advice'

helllooooo :)
It’s a new day, so a new topic has arisen. Today it is about general life advice.

Now I know I’m not the best person to have advice from but I can give it a good shot right..?

So here goes, here at 5 life tips that I can give to you…….

Tip number 1. Be happy. There shouldn’t ever be something in life that you are doing that doesn’t make you happy. I have come to realise this from past experience. There have been times in my life where I have done things that have made me sad or not want to be around anymore. I’m sure there are lots of people who go through this. Stop right now. You don’t need to do it. Whether this be that you are in an unhappy relationship or that you are living somewhere that you don’t want to be. Do something about it!. There will always be something that you do in life to make you happy again! So why not give it a go and switch things up a little.

Numero Dos…..don’t worry about things. I am definitely a culprit of this and am not afraid to say it. If you think its something to worry about then it probably isn’t really. If you think about it – not too much though- but look at it in the way of someone else. If you have an assignment or homework due in the next day and you have plans. Someone else will say simply change your plans. People will understand and if they don’t then they are worth being around. So advice is don’t worry about the little things, even if it seems a big thing to you. It will blow over and you will get out the bright shiny end.

Threeeeeeeeeee. This isn’t really life advice as such, more of a skin care tip. It is to drink water!! You’ve probably heard this from every direction possible but trust me it works. I have very oily acne prone skin! It’s something that I’ve had for as long as I can remember and something that I’m pretty sure I always will have. There are so many different things that I have tried which are supposedly proved to remove scars and what have you but nothing does it like water does. Yes, sounds stupid I know, but drinking water has cleared it up better than anything else. So seriously drink water. You’ll  thank me later

4. Boys are not the be all and end all. Sorry Aaron if your reading this but it’s true. When I was a little girl my dad always used to tell me that boys would be queuing at the door for me whenever I was upset. They don’t but that’s not the point. The amount of people I have heard say that you need a boy to be happy are wrong. Of course you don’t. I know I’m only 19 but over the years I have come to realise that actually happiness can come just as much from yourself than it does from other people. If you can’t make yourself happy how an earth can you expect someone else to do the same thing.  Don’t get me wrong it’s the best feeling ever having someone tell you they love you and knowing that they will be there but that person doesn’t need to be your partner. My best friend is the best example I can think of for this. Together we are like sisters and although it hasn’t always been like that I couldn’t imagine it any other way. So you really don’t need another half to make you happy, but it is a bonus.

And last but not least. Do more of what makes you happy. This sort of relates to the first point. If there is something that you know by doing it you will be happier, then why aren’t you doing more of it! The answer is that you should be. There is no point in living life if you aren’t happy for at least some point throughout the day. So why not make sure that you are. What can possibly go wrong from doing this.

So that’s my list of ‘life advice’. I’m no expert by any stretch so if it doesn’t work then I’m sorry but this is what works for me!
